ARTIST: Dada

TUNING: Standard, down half a step (Low to High: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)

The guitars on all of dada's albums since "El Subliminoso"
are tuned down half a step because of Michael Gurley's
carpal tunnel. You can play this song in standard tuning,
but it will sound just a bit too high.

CAPO:   None

== INTRODUCTORY NOTES                                            ==
===================================================================

This song of course sounds best if you tune the guitar down half
a step, but it's not necessary. The chords listed below are all
relative to position, not pitch. For example, anything listed as
an "E" is really "Eb", due to the lower tuning, but it's been
named "E" because the fingering is the way you'd play an "E" if
the guitar were in standard tuning, and so on...

This is one of those songs that pretty much requires a full band
to play, mostly because it's based on that cool bass riff. Because
of this, I've tabbed out the basic bass parts. These can be found
at the bottom in the reference section. The chords I've listed
above the song verses are implied, which means they aren't so much
played as what WOULD be played if the song were strummed out (so
they're there mostly as a general guide). The verses are driven by
the main bass riff, and Mike plays all sorts of groovy
lead/feedback-type guitar parts over them (which I have not
tabbed out). The guitars eventually kick in during the PRE-CHORUS
sections. You can either strum the basic chords I've indicated or
play the 5th chord versions (recommended option). The chords
during the chorus can be played as indicated. I've shown a couple
of different ways to finger the chords, depending on how you want
to play them. It should be noted that you can pretty much
interchange C for C7, B for B7, etc. during this part, as they
both sound pretty good and it's hard to tell for sure what he's
playing because of the mix. So don't take these chords as perfect,
but they'll get the job done. If you don't have a band to play
this with (or a bass), I've also arranged the basic riff for
guitar (at the bottom of the reference section). Have fun.
