ARTIST: Dada

TUNING: Tuned Down One Half Step (Low to High: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)

The guitars on all of dada's albums since "El Subliminoso"
are tuned down half a step because of Michael Gurley's
carpal tunnel. You can play this song in standard tuning,
but it will sound just a bit too high.

CAPO: None

== INTRODUCTORY NOTES                                            ==
===================================================================

This song of course sounds best if you tune the guitar down half
a step, but it's not necessary. The chords listed below are all
relative to position, not pitch. For example, anything listed as
an "E" is really "Eb", due to the lower tuning, but it's been
named "E" because the fingering is the way you'd play an "E" if
the guitar were in standard tuning, and so on...

This is a really fun song to play. Just learn the chords below and
get a good feel for the strumming pattern. That's really all there
is to it. You'll notice I have also listed the Asus4 chord below,
even though it's not shown anywhere in the tab. There are a lot of
little nuances in the chords during the chorus. In the chorus
sections, where you see the "A" chord listed, the guitar is also
adding Asus4 here and there. There are also other little individual
note variations in the strumming during this part, but it's hard to
notate. It will sound fine if you just play the chords I've
indicated, but it will sound better if you do the little nuance
improvisation thing as well. That type of thing is too hard to
explain, you just have to feel it. The chords in the bridge section
are arpeggiated, but a strumming/arpeggio combination sounds nice
as well. For information on the lead guitar parts, see the notes
and tab at the bottom of this file in the Reference Section.

Below I've shown the four lead licks at the beginning of the tune.
The parts are a combination of really quick bends, hammer-ons and
pull-offs. It's hard to notate that exactly with ASCII tab, but I
did my best. Just listen to the song and try to decipher it as best
you can. It's not very hard and it is really fun to play. To really
get it to sound like the record, be sure to fatten up your guitar
sound, then lay on a bunch of reverb and delay. For the cherry on
top, give the final bend as much vibrato as you can and if you have
one, use your tremolo (whammy) bar as well. The forms below are
also played at different points during the rest of the song. The
solo is fairly easy, and is more or less an extension of the same
techniques and scale below. I haven't tabbed it out because I'm
too lazy. Just give it you best shot. Have fun.
