ARTIST: Phil Leavitt
TUNING: Standard, down half a step (Low to High: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)
CAPO: None

== INTRODUCTORY NOTES ==
===================================================================
This song of course sounds best if you tune the guitar down half
a step, but it's not necessary. The chords listed below are all
relative to position, not pitch. For example, anything listed as
an "E" is really "Eb", due to the lower tuning, but it's been
named "E" because the fingering is the way you'd play an "E" if
the guitar were in standard tuning, and so on...
OK, well this is just a really quick job of throwing up the basic
chords to this new tune. I don't actually have a recorded version
with me as I'm doing this, so it very well could be somewhat
wrong... but I heard Phil play it twice on the most recent tour,
and it's pretty simple, so therefore easy to remember. So if
anything's wrong, sorry. But this is the best I can do until
there's a real recording of the song. I will try to check out a
bootleg version when I get a chance to confirm.
UPDATE: Uncle Irving sent me an mp3 to check out. My original
question on the last "A" chord of the bridge sections is now
answered. Basically, it sounds like just a standard A / Asus4
quick strumming pattern. This should be fairly easy to figure out
on your own, so I'll just show both chords below, and the tab
below will still notate it as "A*".
The majority of the song is based on the A7 chord, alternating
adding a B note as the bass. Basically, just hammer-on the B,
while maintaining the basic A7 rhythm throughout. I'll also
include a very simple tab example at the bottom. The song is
finger-picked.
UPDATE: After listening to the mp3 version, I was pretty much
correct about the chords and the hammer-on stuff. However, it
should be noted that Phil does sometimes throw in a few
variations on which notes he adds when hammering-on. Also,
the simple tab example below is very basic, just to give you
the general idea. There are other notes that get hit in the
process as well, but you should be able to figure them out on
your own while playing it (it's fairly obvious). I've also added
one other brief tab example of the picking pattern/riff.
