== INTRODUCTORY NOTES ==

Down at the bottom of the file in the Reference Section you will
find RIFF 1. This is the basic progression that makes up most of
the song. What I've tabbed there is just the basic form of it
(heard the first couple of times). Minor variations are thrown in
here and there as the song progresses, most notably the last few
notes of the riff change or are omitted. I'll leave it to you to
figure out different variations on the riff. Or you could just
play it the same way every time... hey, it doesn't matter to me.
You might also wonder why the version you play doesn't sound quite
like the version on the record. There's a reason for this. I'm
pretty sure the recorded version is played on a 12-string. Either
that, or some effect was used to simulate a 12-string. How do I
know? Well, I played the song on my 12-string and it sounds
exactly like it. So there ya go. Of course, it also sounds
perfectly fine on a 6-string.
For the choruses, where the Am Em Cmaj7 chords are being played,
there isn't too much variation. However, if you really want to
make it sound like the original, you're going to have to have an
electric and play the chord forms up in higher positions on the
neck, with whacked out effects and vibrato. If that's not an
option, just play the chords in the first fret position like I've
notated in the chord chart below. I'll leave it to you to figure
out the higher electric fingerings if you really want to know them.
The bridge is fairly straightforward, with the exception of a
short fill which transitions one progression to the next. I've
tabbed out the short fill at the bottom as well. Have fun.
