In the notation above the lyrics (and tab) below, I have shown the
implied chord structure throughout. Basically, there's not a lot
of strumming per se, but the riffs and the bass together form an
impression of what the underlying chord structure is. That's what
I've shown for the most part. But if you just want to strum those
chords, it won't bother me. I'm just tellin' ya how it is. For the
first half of the song, the bass really drives everything and the
guitar is relegated to playing simple but cool riffs on top of
that. See the Reference Section at the bottom of the page for a
general tab of each major riff. There are of course minor
variations throughout.

The C* and D* chords are notated that way for two reasons. First,
they're not really strummed (although they could be) And secondly,
it's just another way of indicating to play the C and D based
riff. I've shown a couple of chord forms below in the Chord Guide
that, if you want to play or strum those instead of playing the
riff, it sounds really good. I actually recommend playing the
song like that if you're all by yourself. Same goes for the G and
Em7 chords... they're not played in the song, but you might as
well strum 'em if you're all you got.

As for the bridge, it's kind of tricky... not that it's hard in
any way (it's not), it's just the way I have notated it is
really awkward. It's easy to hear the first three chords (E, D,
C), but then there's a very quick transition from the end of that
progression back to the beginning of the next set. I've notated
that transition as "(C D)/A bass" because it sounds like he's
strumming really quickly in succession a C then D chord, while
Joie is playing an A based bassline. Sound complicated? Well
sort of... but not really. Just listen to the recording and
find a way of playing the transition that suits you. Honestly,
I usually just stick in a quick Asus2-based riff at that point
because it sounds good as well. Just do what you think sounds
good.

I guess that's about all for this song.
