DADA?

It's dada. Not da da. Not DaDa. No, not even Dada, though I suppose that will do.

It's not the art movement of the early 20th century, though that is most certainly the inspiration for the name.

It's a band. A good band. No, a REALLY good band. Anybody who's ever heard them play live can attest to this.

Dada is a three-piece ensemble consisting of Michael Gurley (guitar/vox), Joie Calio (bass/vox) and Phil Leavitt (drums/vox). To make a long story short, they formed in the early 90's and enjoyed a brief stint of success on college radio (most notable was their hit "Dizz Knee Land") until radio started to really suck. They recorded four albums, then took a break to work on individual projects. The hiatus ended in 2003, and since then, the band has released new material and been on tour numerous times.

This is just some very basic information (in case you somehow wandered in here and had no clue what this site is all about). For more details on the band and this type of information, go to the official web site: www.dadatheband.com.
